UK charity ‘Willow’s Rainbow Box’ is expanding their provision of comfort boxes for pregnancy after loss from the North East to the whole of England.
The charity was set up by Amneet Graham – a mother of 2 who experienced a missed miscarriage in 2017. Following a very anxious pregnancy with her rainbow baby, Willow, she wanted to set up a charity to support other families going on the same journey. The comfort boxes have been available in areas of the North East for 2 years, but the charity will be making them available throughout England from 15th February 2023. The charity provide a mix of digital support and in person support and have reached hundreds of families going through pregnancy after loss.
The boxes contain a journal, rainbow print, hope and support cards, a colouring page with colouring pencils, information leaflets and a resource to show healthcare professionals to let them know the person is pregnant after loss and the experience may be difficult.
Founder Amneet said: “I know just how hard this journey can be. There have been lots of celebrities who have recently spoken about their pregnancy after loss too – it can be a really anxious time and we are ready to offer this support to more people in the country. We are excited for this next step and we need lots of support to help us along the way.”
